Postdoc position (Research Group Kohlhaase)
The Department of Mathematics at the University of Duisburg-Essen is inviting applications for a 2-year postdoc position in the research group of Professor Jan Kohlhaase.
Salary level: 100% TV-L E13
Application deadline: April 3, 2020
Starting date: June 1st, 2020 (or later)
Within the research project "Smooth modular representation theory of p-adic reductive groups" the position is funded by the DFG with the aim to advance the p-adic local Langlands program.
Candidates are required to have a PhD in mathematics with an excellent background in arithmetic geometry and/or representation theoretic aspects of the Langlands program. Your research interest and expertise should be related to smooth representations of p-adic reductive groups, the representation theory of p-adic Lie groups, p-adic Galois representations and/or other aspects of p-adic arithmetic geometry.
There is no teaching requirement.
